Identifying many lifting challenges, particularly in the water and waste water sectors, where people were struggling and straining with large dangerous loads using cumbersome, heavy and often fixed lifting systems, Reid Lifting looked to lightweight materials such as aluminium for its unique approach to developing suitable and innovative solutions.

Being one of the first companies to develop lifting solutions in aluminium, Reid was a pioneer in lightweight, portable and safe lifting systems, developing significant presence across many water companies in the UK and Europe, where Reid’s initial PORTA-DAVIT has became an industry standard.
